Case File Management

Ramallah: On Tuesday, 17 September 2013, the Institute of Law (IoL) at Birzeit University held a training workshop on Case File Management. Targeting members of the Public Prosecution, the training session covered several topics,

including management and stages of penal cases, case file management, and investigation techniques. The workshop also addressed the particular nature of corruption cases, highlighting how best these cases could be managed and investigated. Many practical applications and case studies were presented. Participants were distributed into working groups to discuss and reach conclusions about such real cases.

The training is a component of the Anti-Corruption Capacity Building Assistance in Palestine Project, implemented in partnership and cooperation between the IoL and Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC), High Judicial Council (HJC) and Public Prosecution. The project is designed to support Palestinian anti-corruption actors and provide capacity building to relevant staff. A total of 13 members of the Public Prosecution and Anti-Corruption Prosecution team participated in the training event.

The Anti-Corruption Capacity Building Assistance in Palestine Project is implemented over the period from April through late December 2013. Tailored to promote accountability and combat corruption in Palestine, the project is part of a joint programme of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and EUPOL COPPS.
